"SolidWorks 99" may hang on certain AMD-K6 processor-based systems while performing various modeling and display operations. AMD has developed a patch to address this issue.

Please read the readme.txt file to ensure the correct installation of the patch files.

Please note, this behavior does not occur on all models of the AMD-K6 family. Installation of the patch files, as outlined above, on an AMD-K6 processor-based system that does not require this update, will result in the following message: "The version of the AMD processor in your system does not require this update" Please note further, the AMD Athlon™ processor is not affected by this issue. As a consequence, installation of the patch files, as outlined above, is not required.
